A New Era in Burn Research
After 35 years of facilitating knowledge transfer from groundbreaking scientific and clinical research into pioneering new treatments for scarless healing in mind and body, the Fiona Wood Foundation is embarking on a $15 million Horizon Campaign.
The Horizon Campaign will create a Research Innovation Fund, transforming burn treatment and care globally and ending the suffering caused by burn injuries today.
Our Stories
The Research Innovation Fund will establish a Centre for Burns Research Innovation and Translation, with Professor Wood as its inaugural Chair.
This will drive the critical integration of clinical and basic research and continue to build ties with vital multidisciplinary collaborators to promote and apply the latest advances in burns care research and education.
The Research Innovation Fund will accelerate research output and improve patient outcomes by strategically investing in brilliant minds, technology, resources, and collaboration.
Together, we can move towards this new horizon where patients return to life after a burn injury, healed inside and out, and thrive.
